As of today, there is a new theme available to our users. If you are a guest, you will automatically see this theme. The theme is a dark to light theme, with new colors, a different logo and navigation bar, and a new home page. To access this theme as a member, all you have to do is go to your "bio" page and edit your settings. From there you will be able to choose which theme you would like to view. This theme is not 100% complete, however it is ready for use. Enjoy :)

ProBoards Admin Center has set up a blog for our guests, members, and staff. While guests can read our blog articles, only members and staff are able to create articles and add comments to them. Read through the following guidelines related to our blog. The guidelines will cover various topics from how to access the blog itself, each of the individual categories, submitting articles, etc.

About the Blog and Navigation
The Blog Page
If you look at the forum's main navigation at the top of the forum, you will find the main link to our blog. If you click on that link it will take you directly to the blog's page. On our blog page there will be one post, usually the latest post, from each blog category that our articles are posted in.

Viewing All Articles within a Category
If you want to view all the blog articles within a specific category, you can get to each individual category via the drop down blog menu on our forums main navigation. When you select a category from the drop down menu it will take you directly to that categories board. From there you will be able to view any blog article posted in that category.

Category Descriptions
Contests
The contests category can only contain articles submitted by Administrators. When ever a contest is posted it will be posted into the contest category. Contest winners will be announced in the initial article when the contest is over. The plan is to hold a contest one time per month, for the duration of one month.

Writing Articles for the Blog

Guidelines
We encourage all of our members and staff to write articles for our blog. When writing an article you need to be knowledgeable about the topic you are writing on. Your article should contain a minimum of 300 words and should be written in complete sentences with proper English. You should avoid any major grammatical errors in your writing. Your article should be both creative and informative. You want the readers to be interested and you want them to learn something.

When you are creating your article, be sure to select the appropriate filter for it. The filter is essentially the category that your article should be placed in. To select a filter, click on the settings (gear) icon to the upper right hand side of the post box. From there, select filters and then apply the appropriate category filter to your post.

Submitting an Article
There are a few ways in which you can submit an article to our blog. The easiest way to submit an article is to hover over the "blog" navigation button in our forums main menu. The very first drop-down item is "submit article." Clicking on this sub-menu link will take you directly to creating a new article submission post. Additionally, you can view the blog page and click on the link on the right sidebar that says "Create an Aricle Now."

Once your article has been submitted, an administrator will review and edit your article. If the article meets all the requirements for submission, your article will be placed in the appropriate category. Once your article has been placed into a category, it will be featured on our forums blog page. I will try to space out articles that are accepted so that articles remain featured for at least 24-48 hours before the next latest one in a specific category takes its place.
